Meet Nehanda

Nehanda is a dedicated therapist specializing in supporting individuals, particularly women, who struggle with mood disorders and anxiety. With a deep commitment to a trauma-informed approach, Nehanda helps her clients develop essential emotional regulation skills, empowering them to take charge of their mental health and overall well-being. She believes that therapy, much like physical health, is vital for maintaining balance and living a fulfilling life. In her practice, Nehanda emphasizes psychoeducation, emotional regulation, and distress tolerance techniques. She works with each client to help them understand that while they cannot always control the emotions they experience, they can control their responses to those emotions. Nehanda specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing both of which she personally experienced as a client when she began her own therapeutic journey nearly 12 years ago. This personal perspective informs her empathetic approach to therapy and allows her to connect with clients on a deeper level. Additionally, Nehanda is passionate about holistic psychology and views the nervous system as a critical component of mental health. She believes that chronic stress and trauma can have a significant impact on the body and mind, leading to burnout and mental illness.

She advocates for a comprehensive approach to mental wellness, integrating holistic wellness techniques such as tapping, breathing exercises, meditation, journaling, pharmacology, and, of course, talk therapy.
